Busy on several fronts

The US market is beginning to come back to life for us and the home market in pig production systems remains very active. Wireless diversification is bearing fruit with our grain store monitoring and pheasant rearing alarm systems attracting more interest. We expect a particularly busy pheasant rearing season next year as the sales and marketing efforts kick in.

 

 

In development, work continues apace improving the flexibility of our monitoring systems and we’re headed well and truly in the direction of making ALL networks broadband connected to the internet. This will also see work progressing to integrate our existing PC based data handling software Barn Report into the web-based work we have been carrying out with our USA partners. All this means that customers will get a better, faster, more reliable and easier to use set of tools to help them in their businesses.

 

Having used video to pitch for funding recently, we expect to use it extensively on the website to make getting information from us more fun and to help explain some of the more tricky things we sometimes need to.

Farmex was born out of research into ventilation for pig buildings at Reading University in 1979. Since then the company has become the leading specialist supplier of temperature control, alarm and monitoring equipment for agriculture.

The company’s dicam range has now been used for a diverse range of applications:

Real-time production monitoring is a particular specialisation and no one else in the world has as much accumulated data from livestock production sites or experience in its interpretation.
